Pat provides a confidential and heart-centred safe space for people to address difficulties, learn effective coping strategies and come to a greater understanding of themselves in order to heal, find meaning and reach their potential. This involves building a trusting relationship whereby therapeutic healing goals are discussed and interventions jointly agreed to. Whilst professionally trained, Pat does not consider herself an expert but more so as a facilitator and coach. Her empowering approach is founded upon the belief that individuals are the experts of their own lives and hold their own solutions, which are accessible at the right time with the right support and resources. Ethos

The four images depicted in the Reconnect Healing logo represent the ethos or 'spirit' of Pat's practice grounded in the philosophy of balance, mindfulness, simplicity, and personal power. Leaning into natural ways of being that help return the mind, body, and soul to its equilibrium and most resilient state. 

• Fire (sun) represents energy, a tool for transformation, passion, creativity, drive and inner strength.

• Land or earth (twig) represents grounding, the foundation of life, material substance, connection to life path, and family roots.

• Ocean or water (lotus) represents emotional release, healing, intuition, and inner reflection.

• Wind or air (butterfly) represents intellect, thoughts, mental intention, and connection to universal life force. 

 

Privacy & Confidentiality

As professional practitioner, Pat collects information and maintains records that are kept confidential and secure. Clients have a right to review their notes upon request in writing. Confidential client notes are securely maintained for 7 years as per the Health Records Act 2001. Information is not shared with third parties without client express consent, except in the event that the client, another person or children's safety is at risk of harm. Where possible and safe to do so, any disclosures are discussed with clients in advance. Client information may also be disclosed for professional consultation and supervision to ensure quality services are delivered, however, all identifying information is not disclosed.

Payments

Payments are discussed and agreed to ahead of time with clients with full transparency. In order to maximise therapeutic time spent in sessions, payments are requested to be finalised ahead of time via online sessions bookings or electronic payment of invoices. Receipts are provided for all payments, with access to Medicare rebates where Mental Health Care Plans apply.

Cancellations & Session Times

Cancellation notice is appreciated ahead of time when clients are unable to attend scheduled therapy or supervision sessions. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours will incur a full session cancellation fee payment. 50% of the cancellation fee is redeemable upon rescheduling of a subsequent session following a late cancellation. Whilst late attendance may sometimes occur, session times are expected to end at their scheduled time in order to honor appointment times scheduled with other clients.

Holding Space

Pat places great value in providing a quiet, safe and open space, free of interruptions for all clients conducive to healing. Mobile phones are requested to be switched off or on silent whilst in session. Clients participating in phone or online sessions are to ensure that they locate themselves somewhere private and comfortable for session times, free of interruption.

Free Will 

All support, information, and advice is provided to clients and online visitors with the understanding that everyone acts from their own sense of 'ágency' considering their individual circumstances with the ability to exercise free will at all times. Reconnect Healing can therefore not be held responsible for any actions, decisions or events that may take place during the course of therapy or receiving information.
